SEMINARS AND TEACHING SERIES
by DAVID PATTERSON

The Tune-Up

This series of unique teachings is designed for the support staff/leaders of local churches and ministries. The focus of the teaching series is to build teamwork, assist the staff in knowing how to effectively support their pastor/leader, how to fine-tune their work habits, and how to be more efficient and effective in their assigned role.

In a successful career spanning four decades, David Patterson has served as an associate and Vice President to several prominent and successful ministries. The Tune-Up teaching is not theory but practical truth gleaned from experience and has been taught in dozens of churches, ministries and conferences. This seminar is often taught in a condensed version called "The Saturday Morning Tune-Up."

Topics include:
1. Effectiveness is a habit
2. Getting the most done in the least time
3. Learning how to contribute to team work
4. Concentration of effort
5. Finding strength and building on it
6. How to make solid decisions
7. Adapting to change

(This is an excellent teaching for staff members and lay leadership. It will assist them in knowing how to work as a team and how to support the pastor/leader.)

Strong Men in Tough Times

This powerful teaching was devopled in conjunction with Christian Men's Network and is presented in churches, at this time, exclusively by David Patterson Ministries.  The fast-moving seminar includes Dr. Ed Cole teaching via video, and in-person teaching by David Patterson.

Subjects include - Manhood 101
                                   Strong Men in Tough Times
                                   Winning When it's Tough
                                   Fighting and Defeating Fear

Originally prepared by Dr. Ed Cole and based on his teaching from the book of Daniel. The book of Daniel is much more than a book of hard-to-understand prophecies, it is teaching of how to live victoriously in stressful circumstances.

Discover Your GOD-Given Gifts

Romans 12:6-8 introduces us to the gifts that God planted in us at conception. Perhaps you have asked yourself, “What is my place in the body of Christ?” or “How do I find my place in God’s family?” This study will assist you in finding answers to those questions and start you on your understanding of your “fit” in God’s great plan. Every believer will find himself identified in one of the gifts outlined in these three verses. These are not “gifts” that we ask for; they are gifts placed in us by God that He expects us to identify and cultivate! Learn how to do just that!

Understanding the gifts that God has put in you will help you to understand why you act the way you do, what type of work will bring you the most satisfaction, where you can be the most effective in the Kingdom of God.

Fine-Tuning the Devotional Life

At the very heart of our walk with God is our devotional life. Our devotional life defines our relationship with the Lord. In order for us to have the best possible devotional life, we must be willing to fine-tune, to improve,  and this is a lifetime pursuit. Beginning with an understanding of the basics, David teaches on how to have a meaningful devotional life and how to continually improve it.

This is an excellent two-session series for a weekend visit to a church, at a retreat or a men's gathering.

(Each of the above seminars is adaptable to a variety of teaching settings.)
